The government has appointed Mascott Capital Partners, a Cyprus-based firm, as the official master licensee responsible for managing both domestic and international operator applications through a centralized online portal. This platform operates under the authority of Law 2/1995 and the reforms introduced by Law 10/2017, offering a streamlined and transparent process for licensing.
Minister for Tourism and Tourism Infrastructure, Antonio-Pedro Oliveira Burupu, hailed the move as one of the most transformative actions taken by gaming regulators in the nation’s history. He emphasized that the digital platform will not only facilitate license applications but also promote responsible gambling and enforce anti-money laundering protocols.
