Fort Portal, Uganda – Kyaka County has been crowned the 2025 Tooro Masaza Cup champion after a thrilling 2-0 victory over Fort Portal City in the tournament final held on Sunday at Kinyananisika Grounds. The match marked the climax of the fourth edition of the Tooro Kingdom Amasaza Cup and drew hundreds of passionate fans, including the Omukama of Tooro, His Royal Highness Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru Rukidi IV.
In a highly anticipated showdown, Kyaka secured their first title with goals from Arafat Baluku in the 20th minute and Fred Tumusiime in the 70th minute. The win comes after three final appearances and cements Kyaka’s place in the tournament’s growing history. The players’ skill and determination were matched only by the electrifying support from the stands, reflecting the power of grassroots football to unite and inspire communities.

As part of its ongoing support, Pilsner Lager honoured individual excellence by awarding standout players. Anguzu Francis of Kyaka County was named Pilsner Goalkeeper of the Tournament, while Malik Yasin of Fort Portal City earned the Most Valuable Player title. Kyaka’s Kisaku Jonathan emerged as the Top Scorer of the Tournament.
