KAMPALA, UGANDA — TECNO Mobile Uganda has launched a trio of new devices—the SPARK Slim smartphone, MEGAPAD SE tablet, and MEGABOOK S14 laptop—as part of an ambitious push to strengthen its presence in Uganda’s fast-growing mid-range tech market. The announcement comes alongside global recognition, with TECNO securing three IFA Global Product Technology Innovation Awards 2025 for the Slim Series, MEGABOOK S14, and its AI Glasses line, signaling the brand’s move from value-driven offerings to premium innovation.

The SPARK Slim, billed as the world’s slimmest 3D curved-screen smartphone at 5.93 mm, highlights TECNO’s design ambitions in a segment dominated by Samsung’s A-series and Xiaomi’s Redmi line. With a 5200mAh battery, 45W fast charging, G200 chipset, IP65 dust and water resistance, and a 144Hz refresh rate, the device offers competitive features in Uganda’s sub-Shs 1 million market, appealing to tech-savvy consumers seeking both performance and style. The smartphone also earned a Platinum Award at the 2025 MUSE Design Awards for its ultra-slim engineering.

The MEGAPAD SE tablet targets students and mobile professionals, combining portability with productivity. Equipped with an 11-inch display, 8000mAh battery, keyboard support, and cross-device TECNO AI integration, the tablet competes in a market traditionally led by Lenovo and Samsung’s Tab A-series, offering Ugandan users a budget-friendly option without compromising functionality.

Meanwhile, the MEGABOOK S14 laptop marks TECNO’s entry into the ultraportable PC market, featuring a lightweight 14-inch form factor, Intel Ultra chipset, OLED screen, 65W fast charging, and AI-powered connectivity across TECNO devices. The laptop is designed to appeal to professionals seeking a portable, high-performance device that seamlessly integrates into TECNO’s growing ecosystem.

Together, the three devices represent TECNO’s broader strategy of creating an Apple-style ecosystem, where AI connectivity links smartphones, tablets, and laptops. This approach encourages consumers to adopt multiple TECNO devices, strengthening brand loyalty while delivering a seamless digital experience.

To complement the launch, TECNO has rolled out aggressive Black Friday promotions from November 17 to 30, covering the SPARK 40, CAMON 40, SPARK Slim, MEGAPAD SE, and MEGABOOK S14. The company is offering unique incentives, including 100% cash back for 1,000 units if the Uganda Cranes advance at each stage of AFCON 2025, a marketing strategy designed to capture national enthusiasm during the tournament.

With these launches, TECNO aims to solidify its position in Uganda’s mid-range tech market while expanding its footprint in premium innovation, delivering devices that combine cutting-edge design, performance, and cross-device AI integration.
