The Bush War Victory (1986)
In January 1986, after years of guerrilla warfare, Yoweri Museveni and his National Resistance Army seized power, overthrowing the government of Tito Okello. Museveni was sworn in as President, promising peace, democracy, and development after years of instability.

The 1995 Constitution

Scrapping Presidential Term Limits (2005) & Age Limits (2017)
"TOJIKWATAKO"
In 2005, the two-term presidential limit was scrapped. Later in 2017, the age limit of 75 for presidential candidates was also removed, allowing Museveni to extend his stay in power.

COVID-19 Response (2020)
